Big 10 Tour 2012

The Big 10 Tour for 2012 will consist of 6 regular events. There will not be a points race this year as in the years past. We will do a 100% payback at each event and will still have a big fish pot. Read over the rules as some have changed pertaining to the format and fees. We will not declare a year end winner as in the past so the State shoot will declare the 2012 best of the best. We will still hold the banquet at the end of the season. It is open to all members and their families as well as guest that has entered in a 2012 event as well as their families.

Rules and Regulations

·         Out regular season tournaments are a Big 10 Format, meaning we will weigh in a maximum of 10 legal fish per team.  

 

·         Sign in for regular shoots are @ 7:00 pm and blast off at 7:30pm, weigh in is @ 3:00am the following morning (No grace period.  If your boat is not docked on site or your automobile is not in the parking lot your team is disqualified. )


·         Entry fee for regular events are $20.00 for members and $25.00 for non members. After a non member enters (4) events he/she is ruled as a member for the rest of the seasons. The $5.00 from each non member goes to club as club dues.


·         With completion of your teams sign in, your team will also be entered into a big fish pot.  Any other side pots will be optional and declared at the meeting before that night’s event.


·         Big fish pot money will be pulled from entry fees and will be the amount of $10.00 per team.


·         Tarheel Fish Stickers season membership dues are $20.00 per person.


·         Pay back for regular season events are 100%.   Cash money of 60%/30%/10% (top 3 spots) Club pulls nothing from pot. State shoot will be a different format due to running expenses to hold that event.


·         In the event of a tie on Big 10 weight, top position will go to the team with the largest fish.


·         In the event of a tie in the Big Fish pot, the winner will be declared by the longest fish. If a tie is still not settled we will weigh the team’s second biggest fish. 


·         All regular events will be tailoring events.


·         All Wildlife, State and local laws apply.


·         In the event of rain, there will be a vote by the Club officials to determine the start of the night’s event.  It is your responsibility to call an official and voice your opinion if you feel the shoot must go on or be called off.  Your opinions are important and are herd; however the decision will be a majority vote between the officials. The verdict will be announced by phone, text, Face Book, email, and or website notification. If you are unsure of weather conditions call your closest official. Every situation is different and we will do the best we can to make the decision in a timely manner. In the event of a bad weather after the start of an event the shoot will go on and not be called off. If you feel your safety is in jeopardy due to conditions please contact an official or leave a note/message with someone so we will know you have safely left the tournament.


·         Tarheel Fish Stickers reserves the wrights to change, alter, remove or add to the rules as seen fit. If a change is made it will be announced before the start of the next event.

The 2012 season is going to be a little different than in the past. We have dropped back on the number of shoots on the tour. It has came to our attention we may be pulling a little too much time from the families. We are doing 1 shoot per month starting in March. There will be 2 shoots during the month of July,one of them will be the state shoot.

Changes for 2012:

  • Sign In at 7:00pm Blast off 7:30pm weigh in 3:00am
  • 100% payback, The club will not hold anything from pot.
  • $20.00 entry fee per shooter for club members
  • $25.00 entry fee per shooter for non club members
  • Big fish Pot will be $10.00 per boat  (this money comes from entry fee)
